"Historic Buildings and the Arts Center of Expertise provides

programs: Historic Buildings, Art-in-Architecture, and Fine Arts."

Non Profit Organization
Established by six major Midwest museums in 1952 to provide professional,
high quality and cost effective art conservation services to its members
and, private clients, the ICA was the first regional art conservation laboratory,
in the United States. Conservation services performed by highly educated
and experienced conservation staff. Services available from the ICA include
the conservation of a broad range of cultural materials as follows: paintings,
murals, frames, icons, polychrome sculpture, paper based materials such
as prints, watercolor paintings, photographs, books, objects of stone,
metal, leather, ceramic, clay or wood and textiles.

An organization dedicated to the preservation and documentation
of the murals in the Greater Los Angeles area. They have a great list of
LA muralists, some from the WPA.

- PreserveNet
"PreserveNet is designed to provide preservationists with
a comprehensive database of regularly updated internet resources and current
professional opportunities. Established in 1994 by Cornell University's
Michael Tomlan and Bob Pick, PreserveNet was the result of a collaborative
effort by preservation students of various universities interested in providing
preservation information in what was then a new and exciting arena, the
internet. Updated and expanded in 2001, PreserveNet continues to utilize
the many internet resources of various preservation organizations and maintains
a current listing of professional and educational opportunities."

Association for Art Conservation (WAAC)
The Western Association for Art Conservation, is a nonprofit
membership organization for professional conservators. WAAC was founded
in 1975 to bring together conservators practicing in the western United
States to exchange ideas, information and news. Although WAAC is specifically
a regional organization for the western states including Alaska and Hawaii,
any individual or institution may become a member regardless of location
or national boundary.
