Due to Dr. Frederick Nichols participation in the citizen advisory board to the Federal Art Project in the 1930's and 1940's, Nichols School sponsored a large number of New Deal pieces of art:
"American Farm and Home Life" by Unknown - 7 panels of oil painting, originally installed in the cafeteria - 3 measuring 60" x 75" and 4 measuring 60" x 25".
"Evening in the Island of Bali" by Unknown - a diorama installed in 1937 in the library.
"Wild Life - Fowl" by Frances Badger - a water color painting, 18" x 25", in a gilt wood frame.
"Whaling Harbor" by Unknown - a diorama installed in 1937 in the library.
"Street Scene" by Walter Burt Adams - an oil painting in a white molding frame, 30" x 38".
"A Beaver Family at Work" by Unknown - a diorama installed in 1937 in the library.
"Provincetown" by Unknown - a diorama installed in 1937 in library.
"Negro Children" by Archibald Motley, Jr. - an oil on canvas mural, 9'5" x 2'4", done in 1936 and installed on South wall of the music room.
"Band Playing" by Archibald Motley, Jr. - an oil on canvas mural, 9'5" x 2'4", done in 1936 and installed on East wall of the music room.
"Dance Scene" by Archibald Motley, Jr. - an oil on canvas mural, 9'5" x 2'4", done in 1936 and installed on North wall of the music room.
"Zodiac Tiles" by Unknown - ceramic tiles installed in 1940.
