Walter Burt Adams

This is a b/w photograph of a painting included in the 1973 exhibit of Walter Burt Adams' work entitled "Evanston Yesterday and Today". The exhibit was held at the Evanston Art Center from January 24, 1973 - February 14, 1973. Mr. Adams wrote the commentary in the exhibit book and noted about this painting "The only one photographed and the last of the W.P.A. paintings". He also wrote in the catalogue that "eight of my best paintings are lost to the W.P.A. jungle (one of these pictures was included in Robert Hashe's All-Time Chicago Scene Show at the Chicago Art Institute)".
